Cobbler Meets Gobbler - Heavy Blend™ Crewneck Sweatshirt

A funny thing happens, minutes before closing time on Thanks Giving. An immigrant shoe maker, who's never seen a turkey before, attempts to get rid of a last minute shopper - a shoeless bird who's apparently trying to strike up a conversation so he can enter and browse the store for a while. The man's wife told him not to arrive home late for his first Thanks Giving dinner, so when the bird asks what he does, instead of saying "I'm a shoe maker" he says "I'm a cobbler", hoping the winged wanderer becomes confused at the strange word and keeps walking. 

The turkey does pass by, but keeps his eyes fixed on the man, making him nervous enough to impulsively ask "And you?". Not wanting to become a turkey dinner, and realizing from his accent that the man was from some far off land, the bird chose the slang word 'gobbler' instead of turkey for his response, hoping the other guy would be perplexed and go back into the store where he belongs. 

Frozen, staring at one another, they then bolt off - the turkey down the sidewalk and the man into the store, confused and terrified. But then, thankful.
